Linda has a well-established personal injury practice dealing with the more substantial and complex cases, including fatal accidents and catastrophic injuries. She has particular expertise in claims involving issues of road traffic insurance, the MIB and fraud, with a grounding of many years’ experience acting in Low Velocity Injury cases. She writes the Low Velocity Collision chapter in Kemp & Kemp's Personal Injury Law, Practice and Procedure; is a contributing author of APIL's "Guide to RTA liability" (now in its third edition) and of Munkman on Employer’s Liability. She is recommended as a leading junior in the field of Personal Injury in the Legal 500 and in the field of Travel: International Personal Injury in Chambers and Partners.
Linda's clinical negligence work has covered a range of cases including delayed cancer diagnosis, spinal injuries and cauda equina syndrome and she is often instructed in cases involving peri-natal injury/death and gynaecological treatment. She is a contributing author of 'Clinical Negligence Claims: A Practical Guide' published by 9 Gough Chambers.
Linda's broad experience in the personal injury field supports her Admiralty and Travel Law practice. She is well-versed in claims involving the Package Travel Regulations; Athens Convention; Montreal Convention, Merchant Shipping regulations and ship collisions, and regularly advises on matters of limitation and jurisdiction.
She co-authored with Grahame Aldous QC the "Work Accidents at Sea" book (now in its second edition) and is the author of the ‘Shipping and Workers on Ships’ chapter of Munkman on Employer’s Liability (17th Edition).
