Justice continues electronically and remotely in the Court of Appeal at a time of crisis

25 Mar, 2020

Tom Little QC appeared for the Prosecution in an appeal hearing in the Court of Appeal.

All three Judges (Holroyde, LJ and Bryan & Nicklin JJ) appeared remotely by telephone as did counsel for the Appellant.

The appeal involved consideration of the duty of confidentiality owed by a Jehovah’s Witness elder who was found to be in contempt of court for refusing to answer questions, during the course of a criminal trial, relating to disciplinary proceedings conducted by the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
