Francesca joined Chambers in December 2020 after successfully completing a third-six pupillage under the supervision of Giles Mooney QC, Oliver Millington and Jennie Oborne. She has a busy and established common law practice across all Chambers’ practice areas and is in court on a daily basis. Francesca has particular expertise in regulatory work, forfeiture and POCA proceedings.

Francesca regularly appears in the County Court, Crown Court and the High Court and has significant recent experience of conducting hearings and conferences remotely.

Francesca completed her 12-month pupillage at a criminal set and had a busy Immigration practice in the First-Tier Tribunal, frequently dealing with aspects of judicial review. Prior to pupillage Francesca was a legal assistant at a property set and is well versed in all aspects of civil procedure.

Francesca spent two years teaching debating to students in after school clubs at several inner-London secondary and primary schools, for the social mobility charity Debate Mate.

Francesca is a CPS Grade 2 prosecutor and is regularly instructed to prosecute and defend in the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court across London and the South East.

Francesca has dealt with difficult trials involving vulnerable and child witnesses and issues of fitness to plead and psychiatric illness.

Francesca also has experience of sensitive cases in the Youth Court relating to sexual offences, county lines, modern slavery and the process of the National Referral Mechanism.

Francesca completed a 3-month secondment with the Crown Prosecution Service in the East of England, as a Senior Crown Prosecutor in the Magistrates’ Court Team. Responsible for reviewing cases, making case strategy decisions, conducting busy remand courts and first appearances for simple motoring matters through to serious either way offences

Police Law:

Francesca is developing a thriving police law practice and is regularly instructed by police forces across the country to provide representation and advice on technical issues in a range of applications including:

  • Account freezing orders and Forfeiture under POCA
  • Sexual risk orders
  • Closure orders
  • PII applications
  • Domestic violence protection orders
  • Civil injunctions

As a result, Francesca is also well placed to advise and represent individuals responding to such applications.


Francesca predominantly represents Local Authorities, parents and Children’s Guardians in care proceedings and is often instructed in Interim Care Orders, Emergency Protection Orders, at IRHs and case management hearings. 

Francesca also represents parents in private family law and financial disputes and has achieved satisfying results for clients, leading to repeat instruction, in child arrangement, prohibited steps, non-molestation and occupation orders.


Francesca has a busy junior personal injury and clinical negligence practice, acting for both claimant and defendant in small claims trials, Stage 3 hearings, Infant approval and disposal hearings.

Francesca can advise on liability and quantum in matters of personal injury, credit hire, employer liability and public liability claims.

Francesca also has significant experience dealing with claims for rental arrears and possession of property in the County Court.

Francesca has appeared in the High Court, dealing with an application to adjourn in a high value personal injury claim.
