Claire Harden-Frost secured the conviction of a man of sexual assault of an 8 year old girl who was in his foster care. The man was convicted at a trial at Croydon Crown Court in front of Recorder James Lewis QC.
The offence came to light after the child tested positive for chlamydia and gonorrhoea which had been passed to her by the defendant during the assault.
The defendant was remanded in custody to await sentencing at a later date.
