Following a national competition Edwin Buckett has been appointed to the Panel of Part-Time Legally Qualified Chairs of Police Misconduct Hearings for a consortium of Constabularies in the North East.
Following public consultation and changes announced by the Home Secretary in 2014, all police misconduct hearings which deal with cases of serious misconduct under the Police Conduct Regulations 2012, are to be held in public with a Legally Qualified Chair from the 1st January 2016.
