Grahame Aldous QC achieves the highest level of accreditation available from APIL

News | Thu 2nd May, 2019

Grahame Aldous QC becomes the first barrister to achieve the highest level of accreditation available from APIL for his outstanding contribution to personal injury law.

Grahame is now one of an exclusive group of just 12 APIL senior fellows. APIL is a not-for-profit organisation which works to improve the law for people injured or killed through no fault of their own. APIL accreditation indicates that a lawyer has expertise and experience in the field, is dedicated to fighting for the rights of injured people and is committed to on-going training.

“There is no higher accreditation at APIL than senior fellow,” said APIL’s President Brett Dixon. “APIL is delighted to welcome Grahame to this distinguished group of practitioners. He has proven his dedication to helping injured people, and extensive evidence of his outstanding contribution to personal injury law was considered by an independent assessment panel, which awarded him the senior fellow status.”

Grahame is highly regarded as an advocate in personal injury and clinical negligence cases and has a particular speciality in claims involving other jurisdictions and maritime claims. This award reflects the fact that he has made a contribution to the development of the law both through and beyond his own casework. He responded to the award:

“I am often humbled by the experiences that my injured clients and their families have gone through. It has been an honour both to have the opportunity to contribute to the development of an important aspect of the rule of law, and for that work to be recognised by this award from APIL.”
