James Thacker and Jennifer Newcomb were invited by the Metropolitan Police Service to give a presentation to SC&O8 Trident Gang Crime Command in respect of Gang Injunctions (Part IV, section 34, Policing and Crime Act 2009 as amended).
They explained the legislation and court process drawing upon their experience in describing good practice and common pitfalls.
James Thacker prosecutes and defends in Trident Gang Crime cases and represents the Metropolitan Police Service in Gang Injunctions having dealt with the first ever application.
Jennifer Newcomb prosecutes and defends in the Crown Court and regularly represents the Metropolitan Police Service in applications for gang injunctions, closure orders and the full spectrum of applications of that nature.
Should other police forces, Local Authorities or defence solicitors require presentations James and Jennifer would be happy to discuss requirements.
