Mark Whalan appointed as a Costs Judge

We are delighted to announce that Mark Whalan has been appointed to be a Costs Judge (Taxing Master of the Senior Courts) by the Queen on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Royal Courts of Justice with effect from 9 November 2015.

Mark Whalan, will be known as Master Whalan. He was called to the Bar in 1988. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Immigration Judge of the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal (now known as Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in 2006.
