The Inns of Court College of Advocacy has launched a revised Guidance on the preparation, admission and examination of expert evidence produced entirely remotely under lockdown conditions.
The guide deliberately brings together the use of expert evidence in civil, criminal and family matters in order to encourage cross-pollination of ideas.
The revised guide includes significant contributions from Grahame Aldous QC and Tim Parker of 9 Gough Chambers.
Grahame Aldous QC acted for the successful claimant in the Court of Appeal in EXP v Barker concerning the effect of breaches of duty by expert witnesses. He also edits the Kemp and Kemp chapter on expert evidence, as well as the ICCA Guide.
Tim Parker acted for the child guardian in Re H on the use of expert evidence on hair strand testing. Both have extensive experience of dealing with complex cases involving expert evidence.
