The areas of work in which we have particular expertise, experience and excellence.
9 Gough Chambers is a first tier award winning common law set. The 9 Gough Chambers Junior Commercial & Property Team (JCPT) is a new venture. We want to bring together a team of our most promising junior practitioners with contemporary junior solicitors practising in business, commercial and property litigation.
Our aim is to use our team’s specialist knowledge and expertise to create and build a network of mutual support with solicitors at the daybreak of their careers. The team can offer useful guides to common legal issues and recent developments in law, whether it be through informative lectures, lunchtime talks, short notes or simply being at the end of an email or telephone.
We hope that this network will not only be a useful tool for developing legal knowledge and also be relied upon to assist when advising clients, but that in addition it will also be the start of establishing long lasting relationships with 9 Gough Chambers.
The JCPT members offer experience in a broad spectrum of specialist areas, each member has an individual profile accessible from this site which sets out in more detail the type of work offered by the practitioner. If you are seeking advice on a particular issue or wish to instruct Counsel who has experience in a particular area please contact one of our Clerks who will be able to assist you in allocating someone with the relevant expertise.
In addition the JCPT members are keen to establish both formal and informal relationship with their contemporaries and are happy to offer informal advice when discrete issues arise. If you have an issue you would like to discuss please feel free to contact one of the Clerks who will be able to assist.
The JCPT is not all work and no play. We offer seminar programs covering all areas of Commercial and Property law as well as informal social events. All of our seminar programmes and social events have an emphasis on building relationships. These are a great opportunity for networking and importantly to share ideas and experiences in an informal setting.
For anyone who is interested in learning more about the JCPT and/or wishes to enquire about up coming events please contact Natasha Partos who will be happy to assist.
