Shahram Sharghy elected to APIL’s Executive Committee

Shahram Sharghy has been elected to the executive committee of APIL following an overwhelming election win. Shahram joins Stephen Glynn from 9 Gough Chambers on the Committee.
The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers is a national not-for-profit campaign organisation for injured people. Shahram will join the Executive Committee and assist the committee with its work on behalf of the 4,000 strong membership and said of his appointment “I am delighted to be voted onto the committee and am looking forward to working with APIL to represent the interests of injured people in the UK”
He went on to say “I have been actively involved with APIL over many years and I am currently the Coordinator of the APIL Transport Special Interest Group. To be voted onto the Executive Committee is a great honour and I am keen to support the vital work that APIL carries out”.
Shahram was called to the Bar in 2000 and he has represented injured claimants for the past 15 years. He is widely recognised as one of the outstanding Personal Injury Juniors at the Bar and is the current Coordinator of the APIL Transport SIG as well as now being a member of the Executive Committee of the Personal Injury Bar Association. The Barrister publication described Shahram as a “leading London barrister” in their coverage of this news.
